So, what seems a while ago now, I posted that we had submitted Ridgehill Woods and Friars Gorse to the South Staffs Local Plan consultation for Local Green Space designation, many thanks to all of you who contributed to our evidence collection.
South Staffs and Kinver Parish Council can sometimes seem very distant as the majority of open space users in their due restriction are from the Dudley conurbation. However, Kinver PC have been very much listening and engaging with us. They are currently creating their Local Neighbourhood Plan and I’m delighted that they have found Ridgehill Woods, Friars Gorse and the land in between suitable for Local Green Space allocation. They are still in consultation and have to present their case to the District Council, but this is really powerful. They have included our evidence and I thought it useful to share this and other suitable sites with you here.
